Reservation was simple to make and we were sat quickly upon arrival. Professional staff and friendly bartender. Food was served quickly and the enclosed porch was comfortable with the overhead lights. Little pricey compared to what was expected.

Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and everything was fantastic! Wonderful views all around, especially if you sit outside. There is an small upstairs outdoor bar, as well as another downstairs that have great waterway views. There is also an inaide bar, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, and the area is screened in to keep the bugs out, but doesnt obstruct the views. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious! We got oysters and hush puppies for appetizers, and everything came out pretty quick and was very tasty. We opted for seafood scampi, crab cakes, blackened swordfish, and scallops for main entrees. I tasted a little off everyone's plate and it was all so tasty and cooked to perfection. The collard green side was a great accompanying side to my crab cakes! Complimentary valet parking as well as a self park next door. A must try and I will defintely visit again when in town! Best to make a reservation, as the wait can be long on prime days.

We've always wanted to try this place and had people in town so we finally did - we're glad we did! Service was quick and all the food came out hot + correct! Started off with the hushpuppies and yum, but get extra butter pimento cheese app was also delish! Our friends raved about the wreck fish with the lemon aioli, the swordfish was flavorful and a good size, the fried flounder plate was massive and fried perfectly. The shrimp board was just fine - nothing special. The chicken dish was amazing... asked them if they could blacken the chicken and it was a great portion size. We will definitely be back to try the scallops since they were out after a long weekend! Overall, great meal

We had an unbelievable brunch at the Boathouse on IOP! Everything was perfection and HUGE portions. We sat at the outside bar where our bartender was our server. She was ADORABLE and took our picture by the water to capture a "Father's Day" special moment! The view was beautiful right over the water! See photos! The Shrimp and grits were the BEST I have ever had with just the right spiciness and flavor! Salmon and Mahi Mahi were the other two orders which had tons of flavor with the lemon butter sauce. We also had the corn Hushpuppies too. Fabulous! Going back again when I'm in town!

Excellent location on the Inlet, great views of area, marsh, sunset....limited parking thus plan accordingly...had a few cocktails on the 2nd floor outside bar. Bartender was fun, informative, and mixed as requested. Found our way lower floor to restaurant, its small thus a tight fit. as the dining room filled quickly. We enjoyed: Sweet corn hushpuppies - lightly fried, excellent taste, 2-platters of fried flounder - excellent batter, fresh taste, fresh taters Wait person was friendly, kitchen was efficient given the room was packed... Give this establishment a try!!!

As a out of state visitor, our friends took us here and it was wonderful! Definitely has a strong boat house vibe to it! From the decor to the beach front views, it was exactly what we requested from our friends! We sat "outside", which was really a covered 3 seasons type porch, with a view of the inlet water front. It was a little rainy that night but was a fun time watching the storms brew and roll in. They also had a rooftop bar area but we didn't get to check it out because of the rain! Overall the food was great! We ordered the corn fritters and shrimp cocktail to start and they weren't anything crazy but still good! For entrees I had the grilled shrimp and my husband had the seafood pasta, and they were awesome! The portions weren't huge but enough to fill you up! Our waiter was excellent! Spent a good about of time sharing the most popular dishes, as well as the specials for the night! He was attentive without being too overbearing! The restaurant parking was just ok. They did have a valet option, but we parked down the street and walked up. The valet seemed pretty quick and easy watching the folks using it! Definitely will visit here again when we come back to Charleston! Give it a shot for a not too popular but still great place!
